How Edwards Chevrolet Gets Business Cards for Every New Hire

Edwards Chevrolet in downtown Birmingham orders business cards for nearly every new salesperson they hire, and it takes them about a minute. We built one locked template for the dealership. Each new card is a name, title and phone number swapped into it, proofed the next morning and printed 1,000 at a time.

The problem every dealership has

Car dealerships hire all year. A new salesperson can't wait three weeks for cards when they're on the lot Monday. A dealership also can't let every hire make their own card in a free online editor, or the brand falls apart one card at a time.

Edwards Chevrolet, at 1400 3rd Ave N, solved both problems by giving us the template and keeping it.

How the template works

Every Edwards card is 3.5 x 2 inches, full color, printed on heavy cover stock. The front carries the person's name, title, the dealership address, a cell number, a business line and an email. The back is a Google review panel with a QR code. Brand blue is locked to a single CMYK value, so card 40 matches card 1.

When the dealership dropped its fax line in July 2026, we changed the template once and every card after that was right. Nobody had to remember.

What ordering looks like

The dealership's ordering contact sends us the new hire's details. We drop them into the template and send a proof. On one order in May 2026, the request came in on the 26th, the proof went out the morning of the 27th, and it was approved 20 minutes later with "Looks good. Please proceed."

Since September 2025, Edwards has placed more than a dozen card orders with us, often two or three people at a time. Their sister store, Edwards Honda, orders through the same contact on its own template.

Why there's no art fee

We already own the artwork, so the only change is the data. We don't charge a design fee to retype a name. That keeps the cost of a new hire's cards down to the print run.

The review QR is the point

A salesperson hands out hundreds of cards a year. Every one of them points to a Google review page. A happy buyer scans it in the showroom while they're still happy. That's a sales tool in every pocket, and it costs nothing extra to print.
