Short answer: An edge-lit LED sign is a thin acrylic panel with LEDs in its edge. A laser-etched light guide spreads the light across the face so your printed logo lights evenly, with no hot spots and a glowing halo at the edges. What we build
Edge-lit logo signs
The workhorse. Full-color printed face, even light, glowing edges, hung on four standoffs. Optional 1 in printed border.
Cutout shapes
The light guide cut to your logo outline (typically a 0.25 in offset): crests, letters, bottles, glasses, mascots, states and custom shapes.
Backlit halo logos
Laser-cut logos lit from behind so they float off the wall in a ring of light. Stand-up 3D versions on wood or plastic bases for back bars and counters.
LED dry erase menu boards
Lit boards for tap lists, daily specials and scoreboards. Marker work glows in any light. Printed logo, calendars, trackers and slide-in templates available.
Light boxes and frameless panels
ABS light boxes, backlit or edge-lit, with removable printed acrylic faces, plus frameless panels under 3/8 in thick with UL listed LEDs rated 50,000 hours.
LED neon
Script and logo neon looks built with LEDs on clear acrylic. Runs cool and skips the glass tubes.
Lit POP and retail displays
Shaped bottle, can and glass signs, battery-operated counter displays, lit shelves and back-bar racks with laser-cut logos for distributor and retail programs.
Faux metal signs
The lower-cost option. Aluminum composite printed to look like metal, inside or outside, with fade-resistant UV ink. LEDs can be added on the back.

How an edge-lit sign is built
Four black standoffs tie the layers together and mount the sign to the wall.

Edge-lit sign questions
What is an edge-lit LED sign?
An edge-lit LED sign has LEDs set into the edge of a clear acrylic panel. A laser-etched pattern in the panel catches that light and spreads it across the whole face, so your printed art lights evenly with no hot spots and the edges glow. The finished sign is about 1/3 inch thick, not counting the standoffs.
How big can you make an edge-lit sign?
Anywhere from a 2 x 2 inch light guide up to 48 x 96 inches. Rectangles, squares, circles, ovals, letters and shapes cut to the outline of your logo are all standard.
Can an edge-lit LED sign go outside?
No. Edge-lit signs are built for indoor use, including inside a window facing out. For outdoor use, or when budget matters most, we print faux metal signs on aluminum composite that work inside or out, and LEDs can be added on the back.
How is the sign powered and mounted?
A 12V DC wall plug adapter on a 6 ft cord that comes off the sign on a pigtail. The sign hangs on four black standoffs with #6 screws and anchors, and a hanging chain is optional. Counter displays can run on batteries, and light boxes can take an on/off switch or be direct wired.
Can I get color-changing LEDs?
Yes. Bright white (6500K) is standard. RGB and color-changing RGB LEDs are available, including remote-controlled effects.
How long does an edge-lit sign take?
Standard sizes usually ship 2 to 4 weeks after you approve the proof. Custom shapes and large runs get a firm ship date with the quote.
Can you make the same sign for every location?
Yes. We build one approved spec 10 to 500+ times so every bar, store, office or franchise location gets an identical sign. That is how brewery and beverage programs, dealer programs and retail rollouts are usually ordered.
Can I return a custom lit sign?
Custom signs are made to your art, so they can't be returned. That is why every order goes through a dimensioned drawing and an art proof that you approve before we build.
